She was a private caregiver and a member of Second Baptist Church of Monticello. She loved gardening, growing roses and was well known in her neighborhood for her beautiful flowers and garden. Doris also loved doing crafts such as knitting hats, booties and scarves. She could do anything and loved sharing her work with people. She was a very giving person and loved her family, always making sure they were taken care of. Doris was the best grandmother ever.
Survivors include two sons, Buddy Barnes and wife Billie of Strong and Frank Barnes also of Strong; her daughter, Gloria Chadwick and husband Wayne of Strong; three brothers, Vernon, Richard and Curtis Moore of North Little Rock; one sister, Carolyn King of El Paso, AR; five grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 7 at Stephenson-Dearman Chapel with burial to follow in Oakland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home. Online guestbook www.stephensondearman.com.
