Marciel Crutchfield Harper, age 94 of the Rock Springs community in Drew County, passed away Friday, August 17, 2018, at the Woods Nursing & Rehab in Monticello. She was born January 16, 1924 in Pine Bluff, AR to the late William Percy Crutchfield and Fannie Jane Owen Crutchfield.

She was the widow of Harold Maxwell Harper, retired from Burlington Industries, Bob's Shoes and Cockrell Shoes and was a member of Rock Springs United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by two brothers, J. V. Crutchfield and William Homer Crutchfield; one sister, Gearldine Davis; son-in-law, Jim Tomboli; and one great granddaughter, Amanda Lee Hoover.

She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Hard work and family were her life. Marciel enjoyed cooking, especially when it was for those she loved. She also enjoyed gardening and flowers and apparently had a green thumb. She had no problem witnessing to you about Jesus and her prayer was to see all of her love ones in heaven. She will be cherished and missed by all who loved her.

Survivors include her son, Larry Harper and wife Cindy of Rock Springs; two daughters, Billie Jean Harper Hoover and husband Charles of Monticello and Sondra Harper Tomboli of Pine Bluff; one sister, Kathryn Newton of South Milwaukee, WS; nine grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 19, 2018, at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel with burial to follow in Rock Springs Cemetery. Visitation 6:00-8:00 p.m. Saturday evening at the funeral home. Online guestbook at www.stephensondearman.com.
