Mary Lou Calhoun Lawson, age 88 of Wilmar, passed away Sunday, December 9, 2018 at CHI St. Vincent's in Little Rock. She was born October 1, 1930 in Lincoln County, AR to the late Travis Calhoun and Alva McKeown Calhoun.

She was the widow of Fred Lawson, retired sales clerk for Van Atkins Clothing Store and was a member of Rose Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by one son, Kenny Fred Lawson; two brothers, Harlan Calhoun and Shelby Calhoun; and three sisters, Mildred Millen, Eleanor Lockett and Arnell Morgan.

Survivors include three sons, Jerry Lynn Lawson and wife Debra of Ackerman, MS, Danny Ray Lawson and wife Joy of Wilmar and Larry Glen Lawson and wife Dennie of White Hall; a daughter-in-law, June Lawson of Russellville; two brothers, Travis Calhoun of Houston, TX and Treavor Calhoun of Warren; four sisters, Joy Robertson of Star City, Laverne Ceuter of Austin, TX, Ann Woolley of Pine Bluff and Sue Chambliss of Star City; seven grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at Stephenson-Dearman Chapel with burial to follow in Oakland Cemetery. Visitations will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home and from 9:00-10:00 a.m. Wednesday prior to service time. Memorials to: Rose Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
