Arnold Ray Tiner, 78, of Monticello, passed away Saturday, May 11, 2013 at Drew Memorial Hospital. He was born January 14, 1935 in the Coleman community in Drew County.

He was the retired owner/operator of Tiner's T. V. and Repair for 40 years, was in the U. S. Navy during the Korean War, where he received his training in electronics and was one of Jehovah's Witnesses, where he served as an elder in the local congregation. He was the son of the late Dessum Tiner and Mattie Tucker Tiner and was preceded in death by two brothers, Adrian Tiner and Willard Tiner and two sisters, Willean Carter and Maxine Distefano. He loved hunting, fishing, wood working and was an avid outdoorsman. Most importantly, he had a great love for his family and friends.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Jan Barnett Tiner of Monticello; one son, Mike Tiner and wife, Ramona, of Warren; four daughters, Annette West and husband, Ricky, of Warren, Linda McNeese and husband, Martin, of Bisbee, AZ, Kim Shelby and husband, Fritz, of Monticello and Tracie Tiner of Hot Springs; ten grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
