Earnest Lloyd Forrest, 85, of Monticello, passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2013, at Drew Memorial Hospital from liver failure that he battled for 12 years. He was born November 5, 1927 in Drew County.

He was a self employed Electrical Contractor, U. S. Army Veteran of WW II, a 32nd Degree Mason belonging to Local Lodge Eureka 40, a member of Pauline Missionary Baptist Church and presently attended Rose Hill Free Will Baptist Church with his family. He was the son of the late Frank E. Forrest and Pearl Dodson Forrest and was also preceded in death by his wife of over 50 years, Vera Adair Forrest; four brothers and one sister.

Mr. Forrest was a wonderful father, grandfather and brother. He loved hunting, fishing but his favorite thing to do was to drive his tractor, bail hay and take care of his cattle. He never met a stranger and never forgot your name.

Survivors include one son, Jackie Forrest and wife Donna; granddaughter Sheigh Forrest, great-granddaughter Piper, granddaughter Jenna Cater and husband, Nick, great-grandson Gage all of Monticello; two daughters, Sherry Gilbert and husband, Wayne of Little Rock; granddaughter Lindsey Bohler and husband Jason, great-granddaughter Payton Elizabeth, great-grandson Dylan of Crossett and granddaughter Courtney Gilbert of Little Rock; Donna Bradley and husband, Herbert, of Monticello, granddaughter Kimberly Caldwell and husband, Keith of Monticello, great-granddaughter Lauren Crutchfield and husband, David of Star City, great-grandson Will Crutchfield of Star City, granddaughter Kati Beth Wilson and husband, Daniel of Ft.
